2022 Medical/Forensic Management of Adult Sexual Assault

In order to access a funded place on this course, each clinician must be a current clinical practitioner, supported by a DHB Sexual Abuse Assessment and Treatment Service (SAATS) and intending to participate in the local sexual assault roster.

Under our funding arrangement, existing SAATS clinicians are funded to attend this course every five years. If it is less than five years since your last attendance, you or your service are responsible for the registration fee.

MEDSAC will assess the Expressions of Interest and may give priority to areas with the greatest need for trained doctors and/or nurses.

Consideration will also be given to self-funded doctors/nurses who wish to learn more about the medical management of sexual assault, but are not planning to join a SAATS.

Registration includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.

Let us know if you have any special dietary requirements! If you tick "other", please give more details in the message box below.

Dietary requirements

Note: successful applicants for funded places will be notified by email.
Successful applicants for non-funded places will receive a tax invoice for payment. This can be paid online by credit card or by internet banking.

Applications, and payment (if registration is non-funded) must be made by Friday 29 April 2022 unless an arrangement has been organised with the MEDSAC Education & Training Manager, Victoria Larbalestier: victoria@medsac.org.nz

A refund, less 10% administrative costs, will be given up to ten (10) working days before the course, should you be unable to attend. After this time, no refund will be given.

In an emergency, call 111

111 calls are free. You can call 111 on a mobile phone even if the phone is out of credit.
