Supporting continuing education for MEDSAC Members
In order to access a funded place on this course, each clinician must be a current clinical practitioner, supported by a DHB Sexual Abuse Assessment and Treatment Service (SAATS) and intending to participate in the local sexual assault roster.
Under our funding arrangement, existing SAATS clinicians are funded to attend this course every five years. If it is less than five years since your last attendance, you or your service are responsible for the registration fee. MEDSAC will assess the Expressions of Interest and may give priority to areas with the greatest need for trained doctors and/or nurses.
Consideration will also be given to self-funded doctors/nurses who wish to learn more about the medical management of sexual assault, but are not planning to join a SAATS.
Applications, and payment (if registration is non-funded) must be made by Friday 29 April 2022 unless an arrangement has been organised with the MEDSAC Education & Training Manager, Victoria Larbalestier: firstname.lastname@example.org
A refund, less 10% administrative costs, will be given up to ten (10) working days before the course, should you be unable to attend. After this time, no refund will be given.
