This is an advanced training course for clinicians (doctors and nurses) who have attended previous MEDSAC medical training courses (or equivalent) and who are currently seeing referred patients for alleged sexual assault/abuse. It is run in a conference style and provides opportunity for discussion of case issues presented by attendees.
The impressive line up of presenters this year includes Dame Sue Bagshaw (The Way Trauma Affects the Developing Brain), Nikki Denholm from the Light Project (The New Porn Landscape for Young People - Strategies to Equip and Support Health Professionals) and Dr Jane Morgan (Let's Talk about Sex) as well as annual updates from the police and legal services.
A refund, less 10% administrative costs, will be given up to ten (10) working days before the course, should you be unable to attend. After this time, no refund will be given.
