This training course is run annually and is a comprehensive multi-disciplinary course for clinicians (doctors and nurses) wanting to gain competence, or have an update, in the medical assessment of children and young people referred for alleged sexual abuse.

Dr Patrick Kelly FRACP is a Paediatrician, Honorary Associate Professor in Paediatrics at the University of Auckland and Clinical Director of the Starship Child Protection Team (Te Puaruruhau). This is based in Puawaitahi, New Zealand's first multi-agency child advocacy centre.
