This course provides initial training (or a refresher) for doctors and nurses who deliver, or intend to deliver, medical care to adults who disclose sexual assault.

Note: This is the only chance in 2021 to attend this course.

In order to access a funded place on this course, each clinician must be a current clinical practitioner, supported by a DHB Sexual Abuse Assessment and Treatment Service (SAATS) and intending to participate in the local sexual assault roster.

MEDSAC will assess the Expressions of Interest and may give priority to areas with the greatest need for trained doctors and/or nurses.

Consideration will also be given to self-funded doctors/nurses who wish to learn more about the medical management of sexual assault, but are not planning to join a SAATS.

Non-funded places cost $1840 including GST.

MEDSAC reserves the right to select applicants.

If you have any questions, please contact the MEDSAC office via this site.
