We welcome new membership applications from professionals (both clinical and non-clinical) involved in the response to sexual violence, family violence and non-fatal strangulation.

How to Apply

To apply, please complete and submit the expression of interest in membership form by clicking on the button below. NOTE: All applicants require an existing member of MEDSAC as a referee to support their application.

The referee you nominate in your application will be contacted, so we recommend you let them know to expect a call or email from us. All new applications are reviewed by our Board. Once your application has been reviewed, we will notify you of their decision by email.

MEDSAC membership is presently FREE for NZ-based members for the duration of eligibility.

    Getting Involved

    MEDSAC's success is as a result of the active involvement of our members in the governance and leadership of the work that we undertake.

    We currently have 5 active Board Committees:

    • Clinical Services Committee
    • Education & Training Committee
    • Information & Communication Committee
    • Membership & Accreditation Committee
    • Governance Committee

      The activities undertaken in these committees serves the needs of our members, and delivers important clinical advice, training and support to the wider community of professionals who address the needs of people affected by sexual assault / abuse.

      We welcome expressions of interest from members who would like to contribute their time and energy to any of the Committees. Please contact the relevant Committee Manager for further information.
