The Lie is a new feature-length documentary which looks into the shocking murder by Jesse Kempson, of 21-year-old British backpacker Grace Millane, and examines the rough sex defence used at Kempson's trial.

The film has been directed by Helena Coan (Audrey, Lioness: The Nicola Adams Story), created with permission from the Millane family, and will be released in cinemas around the motu on 25 April 2024.
